Idaho Care Notebook

Bring a question; keep the answer

Getting care

# Questions worth taking to the visit.

Bring whichever questions feel most useful for your visit. Leave room for the answers in your own words.

## Ask, then note the answer

### About the reason for care

What might explain the health concern I have described? What other choices can we discuss?

Do you need another conversation, an examination or a test before deciding on treatment? Why?

### About the proposed medicine

What is the product called? What ingredient does its work? Is it a tablet, an injection or another form?

Have studies shown this medicine helps people with my health problem? What is still unknown?

Does this come as a finished product, or will someone prepare it to order? Why is this preparation being proposed for me?

### About the person and the pharmacy

What is your role and where can I check your licence?

Which pharmacy makes or supplies the medicine? Where can I check its Idaho record?

Can I discuss the label with a pharmacist?

### About money and follow-up

What is the whole bill, including visits, medicine and tests? Once the introductory offer ends, what will change?

How do I end a membership? What happens to repeat charges?

If I have questions later, who will answer and what contact method can I use?

## If an answer is hard to follow

Try: “Can you say that with ordinary words, then write it down?”

Read the note back to check that you understood. A short answer that you can explain later is more useful than a string of unfamiliar terms.

Idaho's virtual-care law requires a contact method and access to follow-up care or information, as of September 30, 2026.

## Keep a source beside your questions

- [Idaho's patient question sheet](https://dopl.idaho.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/IIACLI-Tips-for-Patients.pdf)

Use it alongside your own notes when discussing an injection.

- [Idaho's virtual-care requirements](https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/Title54/T54CH57/)

Read for the follow-up and contact duties behind that last question.

## Keep the question going

This notebook explains care in Idaho; it is a guide, and it neither treats people nor sells medicines.
